Queen's University Belfast 3-18 TU Dublin 2-16

Five years after steering Tyrone to All-Ireland success, Feargal Logan could be heading back to Croke Park.

The former joint Tyrone boss is one half of the Queen's University management this season and has helped guide his side to the last four of the Sigerson Cup.

Another five-star display from Tyrone senior Ronan Cassidy, a former All-Ireland U-20 medallist, helped Queen's record their third win of the campaign.

TU Dublin's Grangegorman grounds was the venue this time and there were impressive cameos too from goalscorers Conor O'Neill, Ryan McQuillan, who hit 1-6, and Michael Burnett.

O'Neill's goal came within 60 seconds of the throw-in and gave the 2007 champions the best possible start.

Cassidy then tagged on a point while last year's All-Ireland U-20 final hero for Tyrone, Noah Grimes, did likewise.

TU Dublin were desperate to at least reach the semi-final, the stage they exited at last season on penalties.

And they were well led by Dan McCartan who registered 1-8 on a night when his brother, fellow Westmeath senior Sam, came on for DCU just a few miles up the road in Glasnevin.

Meath star Jordan Morris impressed for TU Dublin too, notching their first point of the game in the eighth minute and finishing with 0-6, a haul that included a second half two-pointer.

Scores from Joe Prendergast and St Brigid's All-Ireland club SFC finalist Conor Hand were important also as TU Dublin hung tough.

But they were powerless to prevent a Queen's side that landed two goals inside the opening 15 minutes from building up a cushion for themselves with Burnett's goal arriving in the third quarter.

Queen's haven't been to a final since last winning the title in 2007 but they will advance to the February 11 decider at Croke Park if they can make it through next week's penultimate round.
